How should I store The Solution® Skin Transformer?
To keep your Solution Skin Transformer at its best, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Because it’s made with natural, preservative-free ingredients, temperature fluctuations can affect its texture, sometimes resulting in a grainy feel.
This can occasionally happen due to the nature of shea butter, one of our key ingredients. Shea butter is made up of various fatty acids (like stearic and oleic acid) that have different melting points. When shea butter is heated and then cools down too slowly or unevenly — as can happen during shipping or storage in fluctuating temperatures — the fatty acids can crystallize, forming tiny grainy bits in the product.
They’ll melt beautifully on contact with warm fingers and are perfectly safe and nourishing for your skin. It doesn’t affect the quality or performance of the product.
If you like, you can gently re-melt the product in a warm water bath until fully liquid, give it a stir, then let it cool quickly in the fridge to restore a smoother texture.
